At the Presidency Information Desk in the arrivals hall of Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, participants and other registered guests will receive their registration badges. Should the participants arrive directly at the hotel, then the registration badges will be distributed by the organisers at the hotel. The registration badges need to be worn throughout the event as participants will otherwise not be able to access the venue or use the transfers provided between locations. In the event of loss of a registration badge, the organisers need to be informed immediately as such changes require a special accreditation procedure.
2. ARRIVAL/TRANSPORTATION
Participants will be subject to the usual border-control procedures. Transportation for accredited participants will be organised:
- between Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport and the hotel or directly the venue upon your arrival,
- during the official programme,
- between the meeting venue and Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport or hotel on 10 April,
- between the hotel and Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport on 11 April.
Please note that after the transfers on 10 and 11 April 2008, no further transportation will be provided by the organisers.
There will be no special luggage-handling arrangements and participants shall be responsible for their own luggage during the entire event. Any additional information on transport arrangements can be obtained at the Presidency Information Desk in the arrivals hall of the airport and at the Brdo Congress Centre.
During the event, transport between different locations will be provided by the organisers with busses. Transports will be organised exclusively within the borders of the Republic of Slovenia and within the official programme of the event.
Special attention should be paid to visa requirements for entry into the Republic of Slovenia. Due to an increased frequency of air-traffic during the Slovene presidency of the EU Council, we would like to remind you to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before flight departure.
3. ACCOMMODATION
The Presidency has booked rooms for participants at the Grand Hotel Toplice and Hotel Park in Bled for three nights, i.e. from 8 to 11 April 2008. Individual reservations will be made by the organiser with reference to the information provided on the registration form.
It is important that any special needs regarding the type of room (e.g. in case of disability) are indicated in the “Particular requirements” field of the on-line registration form. In the same field any preference for a single or double room, or to share a room with another participant, should also be indicated. We will do our best to accommodate all such requirements.
Please note that meals and accommodation costs will be covered for up to three participants per country. Participants must however pay for any additional services (phone, pay-per-view TV channels, mini-bar, room service, dry cleaning, etc.) when checking out of the hotel.
